The keys are on the countertop….Part 1

The key aspect to breathing life into a kitchen, bathroom, or laundry rooom which has undergone a  renovation is the COUNTERTOP. Sure, sure I agree appliances play a considerate roll as well. Nothing however will show off your superior new custom cabinetry or vanity as the befitting countertop which will embellish the ambiance and stylishness of the space.

Custom countertops can incorporate your personal taste. They can vary from bourgeois to fashion and trend forward. The key is that in today’s market the consumer is  exposed to endless colours, styles, materials, and quality.

One of the leading materials in the last few years is QUARTZ. Quartz countertops, are closely 2 times stronger than natural granite. Quartz is known for being free of tiny cracks, this therefore lends itself to the material being stronger. The extra strength displayed by this material allows for deeper overhangs and also requires less support brackets. One of the preferred products that CALITRI uses for it’s premium quality is CAESARSTONE. Made of 93% crushed quartz, Caesar Stone is stain, scratch and heat resistant, making it a durable and versatile alternative to marble and granite.

Professional and consumers are also discovering that a material called CORIAN holds endless possibilities. Whether used in your home or commercial space this material is easy to clean, scratches and other marks can be easily removed, stains can’t penetrate and therefore are easily removed as well. Corian is a solid surface material that was created by Dupont. It is a non-porous material composed of acrylic polymer and alumina trihydrate. Corian is manufactured in two thicknesses: 6 mm and 12 mm. Cross-section cuts shows consistent color and particulate patterning evenly distributed throughout the material. Its pliancy allows for it to be joined, incorporated and shaped in various products. A generous colour palette offers choices that are sure to please even the most critical eye.

Join us next time when we will explore glass, granite, laminate and concrete……Have a great weekend everybody and thanks for visiting!!!
