What is the Calitri Advantage?
Where do we start? How about our in-house manufacturing facility, experienced and skilled craftsmen, who are insured and covered by WSIB, or our warranties that cover both workmanship and materials. But to truly understand the Calitri advantage, take a look at our photo gallery (link) and see our work for ourselves.

What is Millwork?
Simply put, carpentry that is machined in a mill is considered millwork. Normally, general contractors outsource their millwork, which means quality and timing is left in the hands of someone else. At Calitri, we take care of it in-house and monitor the quality of the work and the timeline.

Why do I need WSIB?
Most people don’t know this but if a worker comes to your home for any job and an injury happens, you are liable if they do not have WSIB. Therefore, every company must have WSIB.

Every Calitri worker that comes to your home or place of business has WSIB along with all the proper licensing and certification.

What are LEED Credits?
The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System encourages adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria.

Calitri has adopted and implemented the LEED philosophy, and every job is executed while trying to accumulate the highest amount of LEED credits while creating the smallest carbon footprint possible.

What is the Difference Between Manufactured and Custom?
Manufactured millwork is generally mass produced and does not considering specific sizes or a desired feature. They also use bulk produced fastening systems and dowel construction. With custom built cabinetry you and your vision are involved in the creative process. You are able to be specific on the style, wood, and finishes that suit your tastes. The cabinetry is customized to fit your space as well as skilled joinery and fasteners are made available as required.

What Types of Wood does Calitri use?
Calitri Cabinetry uses all wood types. Ranging from domestic woods such as: oak, maple, poplar to imported woods such as: mahogany, teak or ebony. The constant is that regardless of the wood that is used the quality is never compromised.

How do I Care for Cabinetry?
For kitchen cabinetry, waxing an entire kitchen can be tedious therefore for simple cleaning and maintenance we recommend warm water with a cap of white vinegar. This formula is helpful as well in removing any grease from cooking.

We do not recommend store bought cleaners because of their abrasiveness. You also want to stay away from silicone based cleaners because of the problems they may cause if ever you want to refinish your furniture.
